ANATOMY OF A MUSIC VIDEO

CONCEPT

When video killed the radio star, mere mortals were transformed into the gods of MTV and thunder shook the foundations of the earth.  Illegitimate Napster, issue of corporate greed, plunged a sharp dagger into the backbeat, now Spotify fires the machine gun and broken instruments tumble from above, each landing to earth with a deafening blow. Ever ravenous AI hammers them down with rusted nails, out to dry on a wooden cross. Why do we stand crowded together helplessly watching on, hypnotised by the meta glow of our handheld devices? We should stop feeding our children to the wolves and resurrect instead our gods anew. Let image and sound couple once more and their fruit fall fertile upon the living earth as this Aquarian age rains down upon the tree of life and musical flowers blossom in every direction, colour and form. Let us not gorge ourselves on this all you can eat, materialistic, fast food frenzy, lest our powers become dull and sluggish, for each of us in truth lives and feeds off the other infinitely in an endless serpentloop.

These modern times present a unique opportunity for music artists to be seen and heard in virtually every far flung corner of the earth.  Never before  has the potential to reach global audiences been as freely and easily accessible as today. The power of the World Wide Web and its seemingly infinite services connected to mobile screens has completely altered the media landscape and brings with it a myriad of incredibly exciting opportunities as well as a labyrinth of potential dangers.  In cyberspace as in the real world, you need to be seen if you want your voice to be heard. You may no longer need the publicity of a record company or a large pile of cash to transform dreams into reality, but what you do need is a steely determination to succeed, coupled with the ability to stand out from the crowd. We believe in the power of video to elevate music up into those higher realms above grey clouds of obscurity and into the glittering light of infinite stardom.
